This is important.

If you’re a POC (person of color), or from another nation, or a member of another religion, or anyone I’ve forgotten, and you have special memories based on your own experiences, I would love to hear about them. My own story is not the only one I want told. Feel free to share yours in my comments sections.

It’s important to pay particular attention to those who are drowned out by the loudness of others. Sharing memories is a good way to start conversations which can lead to understanding, if we open our hearts and truly listen.

If I come across as preachy… or that I think “I’m an expert” on including everyone, I am not! (Well, not an expert. I’d bet my kids and Ron think I’m preachy, some days.)

There are plenty of times I fail at inclusion and being open-minded. I make bone-headed moves and say stupid things.

Despite that (or maybe because of it), I’m trying to be more mindful of the multitude of voices and stories we never get to hear. I would like to boost them whenever possible.
